Alexander Broadie

Historian Alexander Broadie, photographed in the Hunterian Museum,  Glasgow, Scotland, 6th December 2013.Alexander Broadie is an honorary professorial research fellow at the University of Glasgow and a fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh. He holds masters degrees from the universities of Edinburgh and Oxford and doctorates from the universities of Glasgow and Blaise Pascal (Clermont-Ferrand II). Among his many books are The Shadow of Scotus: Philosophy and Faith in Pre-Reformation Scotland (1995), A History of Scottish Philosophy (2009), Agreeable Connexions: Scottish Enlightenment Links with France (2012), and, as editor and contributor, Studies in Seventeenth-Century Scottish Philosophers and their Philosophy (History of Universities, vol.29, no.2, 2017).
