Denis Topalović is an undergraduate student of English and Comparative Literature at the University of Glasgow. Denis first nurtured his interest in literary studies throughout his years at the classical lyceum, the Italian secondary school where he studied Italian Literature, European Philosophy, Latin, and Greek. His main area of interest is the comparative study of literature. He is a member of the Editorial Board of Groundings, an undergraduate peer-reviewed journal in the arts, humanities, and social sciences. He has broadened his understanding of Existentialist thought thanks to a university course dedicated to Existentialism in its philosophical, theological, and literary manifestations. He plans to further pursue the interdisciplinary study of literature and philosophy – with particular attention to Existentialism – in future postgraduate studies.
